Gil Arthur- Senior Pastor
Gil Arthur began his pastoral career at the age of 21 while pursuing his education degree at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La. After graduation and 3 plus years as pastor, he and his family moved to Fort Worth to begin seminary at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. After receiving his Master of Divinity degree, Gil, Kathy, and their 3 girls were called to serve at Simpson Baptist Church in Simpson, La. He also began serving as a chaplain in the Louisiana National Guard. A career that will last 30 years and end as the State Chaplain. Gil and Kathy have served 6 churches in almost 40 years. All of the churches served by Gil and Kathy did very well as they saw growth in almost every category. In 2011 he resigned his last church after 12 years of record growth in baptisms, new members, $6 million in new facilities added, and a budget that tripled.
